No. Settlematic hosts the remote MCP endpoint. Paste the MCP URL from Settings → API keys into Claude Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.

Which actions can Claude perform?

Read-only scopes support listing invoices, clients, and payment summaries. With invoices:write scope, Claude can draft invoices that follow your org templates - destructive actions still require confirmation in the dashboard.

Does ChatGPT work the same way?

Yes. Import the OpenAPI spec from Settings → API keys into a Custom GPT Action, using the same scoped API key as Claude MCP.

What is Settlematic MCP?

Getting started with Claude

2.In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste your Settlematic MCP URL (copy from Settings → API keys in the app after you sign in).
3.Start a new chat, enable the Settlematic connector, and try a read-only prompt first.
4.Add invoices:write scope when you are ready to create invoices from chat.
